About Our School
J. Larry Newton Elementary School is nestled along the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in the charming rural community of Fairhope, Alabama. Located in beautiful Baldwin County, our school serves a close-knit, family-oriented community that places a high value on education. With a current state report card score of 92/A, we are proud of our strong academic performance and our unwavering commitment to student growth. At Newton, we believe that every child can learn and achieve success.
We take great pride in our positive school culture and family-like atmosphere. The staff at Newton believes it truly takes a village to educate a child—and we are confident we have the very best village. Partnering with our dedicated parents and the supportive Fairhope community, our students benefit from high-quality instruction, enriching opportunities made possible by Fairhope’s 3 Mill tax funding, and strong family involvement. We maintain a safe and welcoming environment where teachers make the most of every instructional minute and students are actively engaged in learning from bell to bell. Together, we are building a foundation for lifelong success.
