Encourage your child to read!!

The best way for parents to help their children become good readers is to read to them.  When adults read aloud, children quickly learn that a book is a wonderful thing.  Reading aloud opens up doors to unlimited possibilities.  Children listen to information that intrigues them.  They hear magical words that take them to far away times and places. They come to realize that books are filled with endless adventures and amazing journeys.  It is through reading that children come to know the power and beauty of learning to read independently. Parents play a vital role in the development of their children’s reading behaviors and in fostering an enthusiasm for reading. Please encourage your child read at home and read to your child on a regular basis!  Our library is open and available for students to check out books everyday before school from 7:30 – 8:00 am and various times throughout the school day.
